Description of commemoration

This is a commemoration of the burial place of over 70 prisoners of the camp for Gypsies, mostly children, in Hodonín [CZ]. The ceramic sculpture of Christ on the cross was created by a blind Roma artist (Božena Vavreková-Přikrylová). Below there is an inscription in Romani and Czech. In later years a cast was made and placed on the inner wall of the church cemetery. The cast was made in the sculpture studio of Štěpán Axman. The date on the cast is June 3, 1995. In the lower right corner, the work is marked (signed?) with signs of a horse and the sun.
