Düsseldorf (Höherweg/Posenerstrasse plaque)
Historical background
See: Düsseldorf (memorial, Alter Hafen)
Description of commemoration
The sandstone plaque consists of two parts – on the left we can see a bas-relief depicting a family: man, woman and child, on the right, there is a bronze plaque with information about the commemoration. The plaque was unveiled on the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Otto Pankok, a well-known Roma artist from Germany.
The bas-relief shares the same style as the bas-reliefs on the memorial in Wiesbaden.
