Historical background
Anna Lina Laubinger was born in 1938 in the Gypsy ghetto in Bickendorf, organised by the authorities of Cologne the site of Sportgelände Schwarz-Weiß – the Black and White sports complex – as early as 1934/35. She did not know life of freedom. Together with her whole family, she was murdered in the gas chamber in Birkenau on August 19, 1943.
Description of commemoration
Under the street name sign, there is a smaller plaque with an explanation of who was the person that the street was named after.

Translation:
Anna Lina Laubinger, born on June 8, 1938, a Sinti girl from Cologne. She was murdered on August 19, 1943 in KL Auschwitz.
