Description of commemoration
Next to the ruins of Crematorium V, where ashes of hundreds of thousands of victims of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp are buried, there are four black granite steles in memory of the victims whose bodies were burned in the crematorium, including a stele dedicated to the Roma, which was erected in 2010.
Nearby, on the opposite side of the road, there is a pond into which the ashes of the killed were poured.
Inscriptions in Polish, English, Hebrew and Romani have the same content.

In Polish:
Pamięci / mężczyzn, kobiet i dzieci / ofiar nazistowskiego ludobójstwa. / W tym miejscu / znajdują się ich popioły. / Niech spoczywają w pokoju.
In English:
To the memory / of the men, women and children, / who were victims of the Nazi genocide. / Here lie their ashes. / May their souls rest in peace.
In Romani:
I leperpaske / ab kalla roma, romja de čhave / kej an o genocid naciender meran. / Kate hi lengeri čhar čhido. / Te ačhen lengere vodji an mirnapen.
