Historical background

There was a security camp in the fenced-off area of the armaments factory in which a mass crime was committed against the interned Roma.

Description of commemoration

The memorial is located on the premises of ZVS Holding – armaments factory, approx. 7 km away from the gate.

In the area separated by an iron fence, there are 25 earth graves, including one double grave (24 + 1). Shortly after the war a cross made of bullet shells was erected in this place. As part of the Slovak project Na bisteren! an additional small granite memorial with inscriptions was set up there.
