Historical background
Description of commemoration
The memorial obelisk is a stone post with two sides smoothed, and the two remaining sides left raw, unworked. On the right side there are inscriptions, and symbolic representations of human figures behind bars. On the left, there is the following: (“suffering and horrors of the Holocaust against Sinti and Roma”). The obelisk is located on the left side of the main entrance to the city library. Symmetrically, on the other side there is a memorial dedicated to Jews.
